The Hurting

Do you think you know my pain? The colour has gone from my world, the juvenile joy I used to know has gone forever,
and I feel more defenceless than you can conceive. I cling to fragments of innocence, memories and tokens of happier times and aspirations. I battle the darkness to rekindle those tiny, fragile embers of sweeter emotions and latent strength

Do you see your legacy of self loathing and hatred in me? Do you feel the guilt and shame I carry because you rejected it? Or do you soothe yourself with delusions to quiet the protesting conscience that must stab at your soul when you sleep.

YOU are MY nightmare.

But Im only a secondary victim.. The parent
